Default 250GB PATA 2.5" HDD Announced!

For all of us with capable PATA-equipped notebooks, here is good news.
Western Digital has announced the release of a 2.5" PATA hard disk in
a 250GB size. It is supposed to retail for $189 or so in the US.

Latitude D800, you may be getting a hard drive upgrade soon...

Oh YES!

I hope they'll continue this development and bring larger 2.5" PATA
drives to the segment of the market that could use them...after all,
even in this day and age, there are a surprising amount of PATA drives
in new product designs. (Apple TV is one device that comes to mind, as
it has a PATA drive inside.)
