Compaq Armada M700 standby/resume problem
Hi there,
My M700 has an intermittent problem resuming from standby (waking from s3 suspend to RAM) in Windows XP SP2. It will always suspend happily, and the little power light flashes on and off, but it will only wake up about 2/3 of the time. Very frustrating. I have tried: - Installing all the Compaq utilities, including the System Enhancements Disc which is supposed to solve an S3 wake problem: http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/fi...oad/16249.html - updating the BIOS to the newest version (03/15/2002) I have also checked the event log, and sometimes the failed wakeup seems to be associated with two error messages, which I have pasted at the bottom of this post. However, sometimes these error messages appear in normal operation, with no adverse affects, and sometimes a failed wake event will show no ACPI error. So, all in all, I'm flummoxed! Don't know whether it's a hardware thing, or a Windows thing, or how to find out. Any ideas? Thanks a lot, heytherejohn The errors: 1.
