Default Travelmate 520 series lcd inverter boards

I've got two of these both with dead inverter boards. Is there a common
component that fails on these boards that anyone knows about?

TIA

In wot way DEAD? There are no common faults with these boards. If they do
fail, you will still get display on the LCD panel but very dim. Do you know
what the inverter board does?

DEAD in that there ain't no volts coming out the end (to power the backlight
obviously).

I've never come accross a inverter board being completely dead. Thats one of
its duty as a backlight, it does other thing too.

Jim

Did you ever find out about the inverter board?
I have one I believe is faulty, but I do not have any schematics or
service manual for the board. Do you have one?

Do you have any other knowledge on the board that might be usefule in
finding the fault.

Thanks in advance
Satellite
