From: Mike Richter

There's no way that the drive can read two sessions at once
and no software of which I'm aware which will let you try
to access an audio session from a data session.

[Audio in a separate session can't be accessed]

======================
From: Mike Richter
Date: 11/18/02
Subject: Audio sessions & volumes

It is possible to burn the second session, but not possible
to link the TOC. Therefore, the audio tracks are not accessible
from the data side.

[Audio in a separate session can't be accessed]

======================
From: Mike Richter
Date: 5/14/01

the FAQ says that a Mixed Mode disc is written
in a single session.

and should mean that one can access CD-DA tracks
from within the data track.

[Audio can be accessed because in the same session]
======================

======================
From: Mike Richter (Slimy Friggin ****)
Date: 8/16/04

Tracks of the audio session can be addressed
from the data session

[Audio can be accessed from a separate session!]

I am trying to add data for backup purpose to DVD disc 4.7GB.
Session 1 goes well to recod data. Any session added after
session 1 is not viewable or visible in explorer or shell.

My software is Easy Cd Creator 5 basic.

My experience with DVD-ROM is limited (and I've not used ECDC for

My guess is that ECDC 5 is incorrect in offering the option

From: Mike Richter (cRoxio ****)
Date: 9/8/04
Subject: Multisession DVD+RW problems

Softwa Easy CD and DVD Creator 6 Creator Classic
I am trying to create a multisession data DVD+RW in either ISO
or Joliet file format, so that I can add data files to it later.

This forces the DVD+RW to be a single session disc,
and I can't add any more files to it.

I've not found any standard for multisession DVD-ROM
in ISO 9660 style.

======================
From: Mike Richter (Roxio Shill)
Date: 10/5/04
Subject: Recover lost files on previous session
when burning a DVD using Roxio

He used Roxio to burn a second session to a DVD and is now
unable to retrieve the data that he burnt on the first session.

In my limited experience, multisession on ISO 9660 DVD-ROM is
unsupported, poorly supported or inconsistent in both writers
and software.

cRoxio does not support multisession on dvd!!

fine on several Windows platforms.
