Depot performance figures. A carded delivery is better than a non
delivery. Average number of drops for Parceline drivers at my depot was
around 60-100 depending on time of year. You only have som many hours
to do it and you can't route logically for the first half due to
premium services such as before 10, before 12.

that I am in, and please knock loudly, I never get any problems with

I've always wondered how many drops these drivers have, 100 drops in 8
hours gives 4.8 minutes per call, and that includes traveling and
depot time, no wonder they are always advertising for drivers. The
last delivery that I had from Citylink arrived at 6:45 pm, and the
driver had still got two more deliveries to make, he even apologised
for being late, saying he had not been doing the job long.

Today I had a graphics card come from Aria. I had to pick my son up
from nursery just up the road. Sods law says he'll arrive in the 5
minutes I'm out so I popped a note on the door asking the driver to
leave a mobile number and I'd catch up with him.

Got home, note had been posted through the letter box complete with
mobile number. Rang it, met him a few streets away, showed him my
drivers licence and signed for the parcel.

And the depot could be anywhere. The nearest Citylink one to me is in
Leeds...60 miles away. So not only has the driver got 50-100 drops to
do, they have to travel 40-50 miles to reach their area.
