Default Network card for wired & wireless network?

I'm looking to connect a 2nd hand desktop PC to our network here. Some
of the time it may be connected to the wired network and sometimes
wirelessly. Is there a single network card available which can support
both, or am I going to need to install two cards into it?

I would probably just install a wired network card ($6-10) and pick up a
wireless access point ($30-45). Plug your AP into the wired network
adapter whenever your wired connection is unavailable.

If you have to have the ethernet wired anyway, why would you
ever want to connect wirelessly from this non-mobile desktop
system? If it's a matter of other devices connecting to it,
I suggest getting an access point for these other devices.

If you really want both wired and wireless connections, buy a $5 - $10
ethernet card and a wireless USB device. Not sure why you need to
access two separate networks.
