Default Hard Drives - External Enclosure

I have an old Deskstar and would like to buy an Enclosure for it
but i dont know which enclosure to get (is it possible to go wrong)

model IC35L080AVVA07-0
82.3gb

thanks for any help, i dont wont to waste my money

enclosures are all about the same...i would use most any brand that come with a cooler.

Yes it is possible to go wrong, with an enclosure
that doesnt cool the drive adequately.

Unfortunately most the enclosures arent branded so its hard to recommend particular ones.

Look on Newegg. You will find 15 or twenty enclosures.

Nick,

Check out this AMS enclosure at Newegg:

If you want to use a SATA drive they also have an enclosure for that.
FWIW it's what I'm currently using for drive imaging w/ Acronis TrueImage.

I've also used the Vantec enclosures, and while they work fine, they have
those da_n small screws, and they can be a PITA to deal with.

Not much to go wrong. I have had one for about 3yrs and tried to replace the
old 80g with a 300g and found that the enclosure would not support large
drives. It is a USB2 type. I suspect that all enclosures made now do have
large drive support.
