Avoid overwriting of images uploaded by FTP

Hi,

I have tried many 'demos' of webcam software, but I cannot find one that
will preserve images uploaded via ftp - they all seem to overwrite previous
images taken with motion detection.

Is there any software ( free if possible!) that will ftp motion detected
images using sequential file names (date/time/ etc) or at least maintain the
last, say, 100/200 images? For surveillance, this is a must which many
packages seem to fail to offer.

Hi there

LogiSphere does both local save and ftp upload with time based names
(yyyymmddhhmmss.jpg) or a fixed name.
You can even use it to replay detected motion!

Tried WatcherForYou? It can ftp captured images from multiple cameras
with fixed file name or sequential file name, and you can specify the
ftp interval.

They have a free version, with only a few features disabled. You can set
the images to upload at any given time, while still taking images when
motion is detected as often as you want. (meaning, you can have it capture
images every second during motion... but only upload those images every 15
minutes or whatever)

I use it as my webcam app, but it is well suited for security purposes. You
can see an example of what it can do on my web site... I have the main
current image, the last 16 images captured, as well as a big honkin' time
lapse video of the last 900 images. Very configurable... it'll pretty much
do anything you want when it comes to capturing and uploading via FTP.

CaptureMAX is cheap and will archive locally as many images as the hard
drive can hold, and you can set it to archive remotely XXX amount of pics...
