Default Dell Dimension 4500 Question

On my newly acquired (found at the curb) D4500 I get a message at boot
time that the cooling fan is not working. If I get a cooling fan where
should I connect it on the motherboard?

I have a WinXP CD and a Dell driver CD. However, it is not clear which
drivers should I install (for video, sound, Ethernet, etc). Are drivers
dependent on a specific motherboard and are all D4500 using the same
motherboard?

Will appreciate any help.

you can download the docs from here;
http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dim4500/
you can download specifice drivers from here. The easiest way is to
enter the service tag found on the machine case.
Drivers are mostly specific to each type of machine.

Great little system if you can revive it.

Get the cooling fan from Dell spare parts or ebay. The entire fan assembly
should cost you less than $25 wherever you get it.

Example listings with photos he http://tinyurl.com/2g7fpy . You'll want
to use a Dell fan to eliminate the message (though it's possible the fan
header on the motherboard could be bad instead, but unlikely.)

Dell spare parts phone number: 1-800-357-3355

Where the old one was.

You can get more updated drivers from Dell's website.
Support.dell.com.

While every D4500 has the same basic motherboard, add-in cards can
vary.

Will appreciate any help.

Thanks for advice. I already added 512 Nb of RAM ($20 at a computer show).
Once I fix or replace the fan it will be great.
