Default Canon i950 - Continues to impress...

Well, I've had my i950 for about 3 or 4 months now, and it just continues to
keep me impressed.

The ink tank system is superb. I have no doubt I'm spending _half_ the
amount of money on ink that I am with my Epsons with combined color
cartridges. And I use only genuine Canon ink from Buy.com ($.9.60 per).

And it's sit as long as 4 weeks and I've had ZERO problems with head
clogging. Sitting for 4 weeks all but ruins the Epsons I've had due to the
heads getting clogged.

And the print quality, text and photo, continues to impress.

This is about the most trouble-free, worry-free Inkjet I've ever owned. As
soon as I've used up all the cartridges I have for the Epson 820 on my iMac,
I'm tossing it in the trash and buying an i850 without a doubt.

The only thing that could make me happier is the direct-to-CD printing
system the i950 has in Japan.

I tried this cd printing module and I can say that it isn't as good as
you would probably like. The photo printed on a special CD is kinda
washed out - it's very hard (almost impossible) to get the right
colour balance.
You must also use this weird driver and the printer is REALLY slow and
there must be some special alignment made.
I takes a couple of mins to get it to print some mediocre photos.

Not worth trying.
