Default OCZ Vertex (30GB), real world performance

I never got around to trying the tweak program last night, but I did run it
this morning while having a morning coffee.
I chose the 'automatic' settings, and I did turn off the system restore. I
did not however turn off using the page file even though I'm running 8gig of
ram with Vista-64.

All I hasd time to do so far is to reboot the system after the program made
it's changes.

It did seem to come up after boot quicker than before. Time will tell if I
notice any other changes after I get a chance to use the system for a while.

This program automates some of the tweaks (whether they are useful
or not, you decide), I prefer to have a program do the adjusting.

There is discussion of that utility on the OCZ forum.

Good luck and have fun.

Well, after using the system for a few hours, it does seem pretty snappy to
me.

Sp far I haven't seen any more hesitating at all, so, maybe it was the
tweaks, maybe the hesitations I did see were'nt the fault of the hardware.

Regardless, I'm pretty happy with the performance now. (g)

I did measure a significant improvement in performance after using the
tweak utility.

I have to say I've been quite pleased with my 120gig version especialy after
using the automatic settings on the tweak utility.

Now I don't feel that bad about spending $459.00 on a 120gig drive.
Of course the 120 is just fot the OS and programs. I have a 1.5Tb drive for
the data.
