Can I upgrade my P4 478 400fsb to a 478 533fsb? I have an intel motherboard
in a Gateway 500S machine.

Default CPU Upgrade

You would have to contact Gateway technical support to find out. There is
no way for us to know without knowing the specs of the Proprietary
motherboard in that machine.

This motherboard only supports 400MHz FSB, so the answer is no.

Actually I think it's just an Intel board, Gateway pretty much assembles
stock parts these days. Only the case and keyboard are unique, and that
might not be true any more. My local Gateway store close a few years
ago, so I don't get to see them while waiting for my wife at the mall.
