Recommendations for custom built PC supplier (UK)
Hi
I need a rack mount PC for a project I'm involved with. Contemplating a self build but have never done one before so may chicken out and have it built! Can anyone recommend a decent UK builder of custom specified PCs Thanks Jonathan |

Can anyone recommend a decent UK builder of custom specified PCs I've used CCL for quite a few machines. They don't have the biggest range of parts to choose from, but their service has been excellent in my experience. Range of build prices starting from 25 quid for assembly and testing (minus OS install). www.cclcomputers.co.uk You'll probably find most good component vendors offer a similar deal. Re Jeff |

Can anyone recommend a decent UK builder of custom specified PCs Thanks Jonathan I've recently ordered a rackmount system from Compusys. In fact, whilst I was typing this I got a phone call from them to ask what RedHat 9 configuration I wanted installing. We needed a dual Xeon 1U rackmount system with Linux and onsite support. Compusys were virtually the same price as DNUK for this system. We have a very hard time buying PCs from anyone but Compusys (sole supplier agreement so we have to justify in writing why they can't supply what we want and get approval back in writing or the Uni won't pay for it) so I didn't research any other suppliers. We have yet to determine whether they are "decent"... -- Nigel Wade |

All went smooth, so I don't think you should have any problems with them. -- Scorpio |
