SATA drivers for the D975BX intel controller?
Hello,
I see the unit came with RAID drivers for the Intel SATA controller as well as Silicon drivers for the second controller. I know some hardware works better when using the drivers specifically from the company but the Intel drivers that came with my system seem to be only if I want to enable as RAID. I tried installing them while in Windows XP SP2 and it said they weren't for my system so I guess they only work if you configure it as RAID (of course I could be wrong). Anyone know what drivers I can use for it short of the MS drivers? |

SATA drivers for the D975BX intel controller?
Thanks - that is the strange thing. I did install 7.x but then I found 8.x
When I installed 8.x, it claims to have installed but it runs in about 1 second. On top of that I can't uninstall from applications to make sure it is doing its thing. I've noticed some issues with my SATA optical drive and they recommend updating the drivers for the SATA controller. I do not have RAID configured on my system. I don't plan on it but I would really like the latest drivers for the SATA controller. Any further advice about the chipset or the SATA would be great!
