That is not correct. I have an unlocked 2400+ running on my asus A7N8X and can use all multipliers. So when did they fix this? Others complained about only being able to use upper or lower multipliers, but not both with same cpu. I'm not sure when, but I have been able to use the different multipliers since I got the board. It is a ASUS A7N8X-Dx, ver. 2.0 with bios 1006. I can not choose any multipliers lower than 9.5, they are split with the higher multipliers and controlled by the x8 bit IIRC. So it's not fixed then. If the board had full multiplier support, you would be able to select multipliers from 5-24x, regardless of the condition of the 8x multiplier bit. -- Abit KT7-Raid (KT133) Tbred B core CPU @2400MHz (24x100FSB) http://mysite.verizon.net/res0exft/cpu.html |

You are correct about this, but there is a big difference big difference between a 13 and 9.5 multiplier as a lower limit. This allows for a 200 + fsb. I'm sure some extreme overclockers could use those lower multipliers, but I don't push it quite that far. |
