Default TV capture card that will not work

Dear all,

I have a computer which has a TV capture card installed. The problem
is that I can not get it to work. I have already tried several patches
from microsoft, tried updating the drivers for the card and even
looked for an updated recording program. None of these things worked
unfortunately.

System consist of:
P4 @ 2,0 GHz
2 x 512 MB @ 266 MHz
MSI Geforce4 MX 460 with 64 MB
1 x seagate 80 GB harddisk
1 x maxtor 80 GB harddisk
1 x AOpen DVDRW
1 x Sony CDRW
1 x Hercules smart TV stereo (capture card)
OS: Win XP pro NL

The system was bought as a Medion system with number: Titanium MD 3001
(ALDI PC Apr. 2002).

Thanks in advance for your help.

Can you get the drivers installed with "!" mark on the device manager?
Or the device installed ok but failed to run the capture programs.
Usually TV cards has 2 irqs, and you need to put the card into non-share PCI
slot, my mainboard Abit SH6R PCI1/PCI6 & PCI2/PCI5 are share, but my SB
Live! also need 2 irq, so I put them in the PCI3 and PCI4 then they worked.
