Can't undelete from Recycle Bin on one HD
I have a few HD connected to my PC. On the Recycle Bin setup, I don't
have "Do not move files to the Recycle Bin. Remove files immediately when deleted" selected, so I should be able to take the files out of Recycle bin until I empty it. Strangely, one drive does not abide by that rule. Whenever I delete something, it's gone from the Recycle Bin. I have to use an recovery program in order to get files back. I've noticed that the drive is not listed as one of the tabs inside the Recycle Bin Properties window. Also I've set it to "Use one setting for all drives." Any suggestions to make it easier to undelete files? Thanks, cpliu |

Can't undelete from Recycle Bin on one HD
Recycle Bin does not work on removeable drives. I don't think USB fixed drives do.

Can't undelete from Recycle Bin on one HD
No, it's connected on a Ultra133 IDE controller. I also noticed that
it's the same thing (can't undelete, does not show up on the tab) on Windows XP (which I rarely use) of the same PC. There are 2 other drives on the same controller but they can be undeleted when files are deleted. Hardware problem??? |

Can't undelete from Recycle Bin on one HD
Hi,
You can really use data recovery tools to restore erased data. I recommend Active@ undelete and Uneraser (for pure DOS). theese tools never failed me before so IMHO they are very reliable. http://www.active-undelete.com/ http://www.uneraser.com/ |
