i have a trigems imperial motherboard. the sound adapter is disabled but i see no listing to enable it in bios? it is alc202a. does anyone know how to enable the on board sound? How do you know that it is "disabled", what evidence is there of this? How do you know it is alc202a? Something seems amiss or maybe just insufficient info, so i'll cover all basics: 1) Either BIOS setting or motherboard jumper should be enabled. 2) If sound still isn't detected in (windows?), check Device Manager.. if still no sign of it, remove PCI cards and boot without cards, see if it is THEN detected. 3) Is anything showing up in Multimedia Properites? I'm still assuming Windows but what version? 4) Is it a via chipset based motherboard? If so and you merely need a driver, try this: http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=328 or this http://www.realtek.com.tw/products/p...spx?modelid=29 |
