Default SATA not in boot order

Hi all, I have a gigabyte GA-8IPE1000 Pro and it will not boot from
the sata drive with 4 cd-rw's occupying the onboard IDE. SATA is not
in the boot order of cmos. So the only way it will boot is if I take
out 1 IDE drive so the sata drive moves up in the list. I have the
latest bios F6 but the sata drive is still not in the boot order menu
as Gigabyte said new bios would fix. Please help
