wonder elite and satelite receiver
Just intstalled a wonder elite on the computer and connected to the sat
receiver (dish network). I can view the one channel the recvr. is set to, but that is it. I would like to get all the channels to the tuner card. I tried connecting directly from the satelite feed to the card, but it was unable to detect any channels. Is there a way to get multiple channels to my computer? I currently have a dual receiver with lines going to two tvs. Thanks. Keith You'll have to set an IR blaster to change the channels on the Receiver to the one you want to watch/record. I have Vista Ultimate with an ATI 550 tuner, connected to a Dish Network 311 receiver and the Media Center Receiver with IR changes the channels. If you want two stations to be recorded at the same time, you'll need either two satellite receiver boxes or one with dual tuners. -- Cari (MS-MVP) Windows Technologies - Printing & Imaging http://www.coribright.com/windows |

wonder elite and satelite receiver
Thanks Cari,
I have the wireless usb remote receiver, which I haven't installed yet, but I am assuming it is to control the computer and not the receiver. Is that correct:? Keith "Cari" wrote in message ... Is that correct:? Keith It has an IR emitter which controls the satellite receiver... ie gets it to change channels. Best thing to do is tape it right over the place where your satellite remote is receiving signals from its own remote. -- Cari (MS-MVP) Windows Technologies - Printing & Imaging http://www.coribright.com/windows |
