a8n32 bios load problem
I wonder if anyone has had problems installing the newest (May
16) bios update for the a8n32? The bios file (a8n321205.rom) cannot be loaded by afudos for some reason. I re-downloaded the file but got the same results. Admittedly, the floppys I'm useing might be almost as old as some of the folks reading this, but I don't think that's the prob. Ken |

Ken I tried loading the 1205 ROM into mmtool, and it loads OK. That implies the structure is acceptable. The length of the uncompressed file is exactly 1MB, so that is OK. I compared it to a couple other A8N32 files and it has the same kind of ident info inside the file (as checked by looking for "AMI" with a hex editor). If there is anything wrong with the file, it is the file name. The file name should be shortened to be 8.3 compliant. Other than that, the file passes the "smell test". Paul |
