Pentium III with SE440BX-2?
We have 29 PCs at our lab with this board. All PCs have PIII 700s on it.
If you go to the link below, it will tell you the CPUs it support: http://support.intel.com/support/mot...2/procsupp.htm "lionelhasselhoff" wrote in message ... I am running a SE440BX-2 board with a Celeron 300A cpu butI am considering upgrading to a PIII. I have checked for compatibility, and it looks like my board will support up to a 600 MHz PIII with the proper BIOS update. The serial numbers all seem to match, I have looked around for other potential problems and haven't found any. However, I am wondering, are there different types of Slot 1 Pentium III cpus? Different voltages, etc., that might cause a problem with my board? The Celeron 300A is a Slot 1 isn't it? Are there any other issues that I am not aware of? Thanks, Lionel |
