Default Recommendations for powered external USB ports?

My USB ports are filling up. Can I buy something to help with that
problem?

Thanks.

Try this and remove some of the devices plugged into your machine. If
you have a hub powered by a port, it could burn the port out under
certain circumstances.

Buy a *powered* USB hub that has more ports. They can even be chained
together. I've seen them up with 13 ports (but never used this product to
recommend for/against it):

I'd stick with the 4-port powered hubs and then chain them if I needed more
ports.
