Based on their track record, I guess my first question would be,
what attracted you to an ATI chipset motherboard ? Personally,
they'd be further down my list of prospective solutions, due to
issues with the kind of BIOS that ships with them. I'm sure
some day ATI will figure out a way to get quality products to
market, even if they have to "certify" the boards. I think I'd
sooner have a motherboard with a ULI chipset on it.

Also, you do realize that the bus on the Athlon64 (HyperTransport)
is not fast enough to run two x16 slots at full speed. There is
only enough average bandwidth to run both slots at x8 at the same
time. If one card is bursting at x16, the other card will have to wait
its turn. The same problem exists on the Nvidia boards with
two x16 video card slots. That is one reason why the benchmarks
cannot be significantly better. (I guess you don't have to
use a paddle card selector, to get your bandwidth, so that
is an improvement. The A8N-SLI Premium gets around the paddle
card issue, by using Pericom buffering chips.)

There are a small number of threads on the motherboard he
