Default The P4 socket 478 CPU clip

I broke the clip that firmly keeps the heat sink to the cpu. Stupid
instructions are not very detailed, I realized only after that I should
press down in the middle to expand it so that it will fit into the
motherboard frame holes. Anyway do stores sell this clip? How much
does it cost?

Check EBay. I bought one for a customer there. Intel refer to it as a
retention unit. I presume that's what you mean. Like the one in the pic
he

I think its called the clip assembly, on this diagram letter E and G is
pointing to what I need (the shaded in thingie), you are suggesting I
need the square that is on the motherboard which I don't need.
