Windoze 2000 Pro Dell 8200 I just installed a Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 using the Maxblast application that came with it. Even though I change the drives on my computer to "Do not share", as soon as I reboot they come back up as shared. Any one know what is causing this? Thanks in advance! Do they come up shared as C$ and D$, etc.. If so, these are hidden administrative shares that are always enabled in an NT based system unless disabled by a registry hack (or using X Setup or similar utility). |

I'm joking. It sounds like a classic "horrible virus".

Thanks, I found it on Downloads.Com.
At first you had me worried. I thought the virus that is eating my brain cells had finally mutated into a form capable of jumping the fingertip-keyboard barrier. But this is probably a topic for another newsgroup...........
