Default Dual SATA/IDE mobos

Do such things exist? - I need a new mobo/RAM/CPU combo, but all the boards
I've seen are SATA or IDE only. I need IDE for now and SATA for
futureproofing. I have 2 HDs and 2 opticals (DVD-ROM and a dual DVD burner).
P4 'C' for preference. Other reqs: -

USB2 ports
Onboard LAN
8x AGP

Can't think of anything else but if anyone else can, let me know. Budget
around £120.

My Asus P4C800E has for SATA ports and two PATA ports... I don't have any
SATA drives so I can't say how well they work, but I'm sure they should work
fine.

Did you actually read the question?! I don't need SATA now - I need IDE now,
SATA later.

The Asus P4C800-Deluxe fits all of your requirements except the price.

You didn't understand his answer. PATA is what you are calling IDE. The
board has the standard 2 EIDE (PATA) channels for what you need now, and
has 2 SATA channels for later. He read your question. Now do you
understand his answer?

Did you actually read my answer?

There are TWO PATA IDE PORTS so you can hook up 2 HDD and 2 CD drives and
still connect up to four SATA drives later.

I would suggest that the poster did read your question, and responded,
indicating that the specs are okay, but that he hasn't personally tested
the PATA ports, so he can't say "they work great"
