Is 400 CDR burns a reasonable lifetime for a CD Burner?
DaveJohnson12@nomail. wrote in message ... I'm wondering if this is average or what. The burner was a Plextor 12/10/32A. I was expecting more burns out of it but I don't really know if I should have or not. Thanks. I burned, literally, thousands of discs on my Plextor 8/4/32. Awesome machine...it never once let me down and i always burn at 4x. This is the reason i bought the latest Plextor Premium, it's a quality product and quality burns. |

My primary writer, a Plextor 1210s, has burned a few thousand discs and so far is running as new. What (other than the 'diagnosis' of the salesman for your next drive) leads you to believe that it has died? Mike -- http://www.mrichter.com/ |
