Default IS7 and SCSI boot problem

I've just recently purchased an Abit IS7. Upon assembling it, it worked
fine with my SCSI card, an Adaptec 29160. Of course, a lot of other things
didn't work (such as Windows installation on my SATA drives). That being
said, I found out that updating my BIOS to 1.4 would solve this and surely
enough, it did. However, after flashing the bios to 1.4, and putting in my
SCSI card, my computer will not longer boot up. It will power up, but the
screen will remain blank and I get the feeling nothing happens (if it was
just the video, windows should boot in a bit and I should be able to shut
down by pressing the power button, but such a thing didn't happen).
Has anyone else experienced such a problem? Any chance on a solution? I've
tried every PCI slot I have, I've flashed the BIOS and cleared the CMOS
multiple times and I've tried setting the PCI add-in in Hard Disk boot to
PCI device (even though I want to boot to my SATA drives). Nothing has
worked.

I would greatly appreciate any help, thanks.
