No start up / boot up

Our Dell XPST450 / Win 98 1st edition suddenly won't start .... after
pushing the power on button the cd lights flicker like it is gonna , the
monitor LED goes from amber to green then back sleep ( amber) ,the fan runs.
but nothing at all on the monitor - blank. The keyboard lights did flicker
like they do normally . No beep is heard. The hard drive seems to spin up a
little but stops. I put the Win 98 startup disk in and no good either.
This happened the other day. I thought the cure was puting in the 98 boot
floppy because it started. Then it went to sleep and now start up 98 floppy
wont do it anymore. I opened the case and wiggled the conectors esp the hard
drive and power supply . but no good.

Any one wanna give an opinion?

I don't mean to be rude, but this is the second time you've posted this -
please check your original message for replies before reposting; and then
leave it longer than 24 hours. I am certainly not going to email you - my
address is private - and I suspect that goes for many other regulars here
too.
