Replacement scanner lamps?
I'm trying to find a replacement bulb for an IBM 0275-001 flatbed scanner, and have had zip luck locating one either on the Web or over the phone. On-line searches have turned up mostly places which specialize in home lighting. I called IBM's parts and service center and they don't even have a part number -- their policy is to replace the whole scanner if it's under warranty, which of course it isn't. This scanner has certain features which I haven't been able to find in any other scanner, and I'd really like to replace the lamp and keep using it. Anybody have any idea where one goes to get a replacement scanner lamp? Posted or e-mail replies OK. Thanks. Dr H |

I found these cold cathode lamp kits. http://www.qkits.com/serv/qkits/vell...ages/FLPSW.asp And this company, they may have the very lamp you need. Take your scanner apart and get the number from the lamp. http://www.gilway.com/coldcathodelamps.html Found a reference manual online: http://inf33-www.informatik.unibw-mu...eprm0/2116.htm There was a thread on that subject a few years ago. Long link. http://groups.google.com/groups?q=la...ews.com&rnum=4 Your shorter link is: http://makeashorterlink.com/?K341264E5 -- CSM1 http://www.carlmcmillan.com -- |
