Intel P4 heat sink., thermal compund reprise...
Dumb question, but when you install a new P4 2.8Ghz processor and its stock
heatsink and fan...is the little black patch on the heatsink Intel's version of thermal compound and do you just leave it as is on the heatsink... I..e., you're not trying to peel off the little black patch or add anything on there but simply installing it as it exists over the processor chip? Thanks. There may be a plastic covering on the black patch to protect it. You'll want to remove that plastic if it's there. |
