Default Lexmark t420dn print server problem

Thanks guys,

but the thing is, now i can't connect to the embeded print sever,
neither with the Lexmark IP Setup Utility nor with a browser because my
computer is not and cannot be in the same subnet (0.0.0.#) as the print
server. Is there any way that I can still change the ip-address of the
print server, or set the ip-address of my computer to 0.0.0.#(I've
tried, but MS XP said no)? That will really solve the problem.

0.0.0.0 is not a real address, the printer is showing that to indicate
that it hasn't received an address via DHCP.

It looks like Lexmark has some sort of MAC-based network config that
they call "UAA". This is described in the PDF manual for the T420.

If there's a problem with NVRAM, this is all a waste of time until
that's fixed. This thread might be of interest:
