the file i need to upgrade the BIOS
Am upgrading my board to at least 500-700mhz (for Celeron 677mhz). Have the
proper flash utility, but need to know the .bin file to replace. How do I find it? I would really appreciate a little help, and thanks in advance. |

It should be available from the website of the board manufacturer __________________________________________________ ____________________ Posted Via Uncensored-News.Com - Still Only $9.95 - http://www.uncensored-news.com The Worlds Uncensored News Source |

If not, it will be lurking around on the net somewhere. -- Wheaty... Gimme the ball... gimme the ball, gimme the ball, gimme, gimme, gimme. |

well, I found a few, but I think this is the best one: from the driverguide site and the gigabyte site. But I never did find what the file name is. I'll look some more, and thanks for all the suggestions. Depends on the board, but go to the manufacturers website and look around. They should have the file available. If it's a Gigabyte board, then the file will be on the site. http://gigabyte.com.tw They are fairly good at keeping older bios files about. I have a Gigabyte, and I believe the file will be zipped. You will need to uncompress it to the bootable disk you've made, and the extension will be .awd (depending on your bios) for an Award bios. -- Wheaty... Gigabyte GA-6BXC. I could only find two on the gigabyte site.(it's the one I
described before that I downloaded, and it is good for increasing it from PII to PIII 700mhz.) I eventually want one to increase it to 1.2gb but haven't got the cash on hand to buy it right now. Driverguide.com has a few but I'm not sure if any will work. I read a few remarks on them, and that made me even more unsure...lol. K. "Wheat Muncher" wrote in message ... Not that I don't use that site regularly, but you never know what is actually posted without trying it first. A bios is not something you want to chance. -- Wheaty...
