The PC market is reviving, and so is Intel

I am curious. Where I live, the major electrical retailers hardly stock PCs any
more. They love the tablets that take up less shelf space.
Only the specialist PC stores still sell stuff in an Antec/Thermaltake/Silverstone
case.

Yeah, that's been the case for awhile now. Electronic retailers aren't
really for the do-it-yourself types, but PC stores can be.

Because the long promised Linux-on-the-desktop revolution has
predictably failed, and the general public is down on any Windoze
version 7.

That, and for the vast majority of people's computing needs (which
beyond email is just some form of consumption of media or advertising)
their cell phone suffices.

I would predict that if Macro$haft brought back Windoze 7 on retail
laptops and desktop computers, that market would see a revival. But
Milkro$oft doesn't know their ass from a hole in the ground in terms of
where it's going with Windoze.

Those specialty cases are irrelevant for everyone except "gamers" or
people over 45 that still know how to build their own PC (and still know
how to install any version of windoze from 9x to 7).

Indeed people under 45 have grown up in a throwaway world. They can't
