PSU connector ?
on an Antec TruBlue 480 can I cut off the auxiliary power connector
(Ps1) and the +12v connector without causing any damage to Mb or PSU. I am building up a new system, Gigabyte 7n400 pro, AMD 2500 barton in an acrylic case and since I won't be needing these I don't want to sleeve them up. as long as there is no required motherboard connector (eg some athlon
motherboards have the OPTION for the p4 to be connected - some MIGHT need it however) then cut away! just make sure to end the wires properly so it cant short out on mother board, or another wire. i think safest option is to connect all connectors and test pc first, dissconnect the ones you want to cut (eg p4 connector if motherboard requires) and see how pc reacts. if stable, then your good to attack with sidecutters. tim Raven wrote in message ... on an Antec TruBlue 480 can I cut off the auxiliary power connector (Ps1) and the +12v connector without causing any damage to Mb or PSU.
