Default XPS 8300 Support Six Core I7?

Is there any version of the XPS 8300 that will support the high end six-core
versions of the i7 processor?

afaik the best you can have in the xps 8300 is the i7-2600 quad core.
keep an eye out for bios updates as that would likely include support
for additional processors.

Does the i7-2600 support the Quickpath interface for fast access to memory
on dedicated bus?
