Toshiba great service

All the time Sony's awful blah blah blah. Well my Vaio has been great
for 2 years but I get a Toshiba since I'm gun shy from all this Sony
bad mouthing. 7 months later the HDD goes out. Fine, they tell me to
drive it 20 miles to the closest Service Center on Monday so I do.
Today(Thu.) the Toshiba Service Center calls to say they got the new
drive from Toshiba and installed in the Portege 2000 but they don't
have any way to load the OS. They don't have a PCMCIA CD-ROM or
anything else to use to get the three disks on it? So they will call
Toshiba, Toshiba will send them a return box the next day. They will
ship it back to Toshiba. Toshiba will install the OS in a few days and
ship it back to them. Then when all this is over I'll drive 20 miles
to pick it up.
