Ahhh, I'd never heard of them. Good luck with the purchase.

Aria for example don't have the range, but do have some very helpful

It's an *email* ??

Yes.

Mail : Mail or messages sent electronically; e-mail
It was a message, therefore it is an e-mail.

Then the dictionary is wrong. Peiod. It's a newsgroup posting.

AND an e-mail if you also hit the reply button;-) Probably bouncing though.

What was the point of that totally unhelpful reply? Was it to show us
how pedantic you are?

Fortunately I will rise above all this and not mention your typo.
Period.

That would depend entirely on whether your newsreader has a Reply
button! Mine has a right-button popup menu with a Followup - submenu
(Email, News, Both).
But that IS being picky of me!

Typos don't show a lack of knowledge. You do.

But perhaps you made a typo because you typed that email (sic) in a
hurry?

Is it *just* possible that I typed mine in a hurry too, and therefore
exposed my lack of knowledge to a group laughing up its sleeve at my
crass stupidity?

I'm not normally moved to insults, but I feel duty bound to make an
exception in your case, Bob. You are a pompous prig.

Typo? You meant "prick" surely?

Thanks for your support TX2, although I thought prig was spot on:

"A person who demonstrates an exaggerated conformity or propriety,
especially in an irritatingly arrogant or smug manner".

In fact I quite like the Cambridge definition:

"a person who obeys the rules of correct behaviour and considers
himself or herself to be morally better than other people".

We really should stop these emails and get back to the normal Usenet
postings. God knows I'm sorely tempted to get him all bent out of
shape again by calling this a bulletin board!
