Default what is the maximum read bytes /sec on emc

Hi ,

My system is a datawarehouse on linux itanium 64 , emc raid10 , fibre
channel .
(oracle rac)

When i monitor the system , by using iostat , vmstat , etc. , most of
the time the read bytes / sec value changes between 10MB and 100MB.
Is this the maximum that i can get from emc? Can the system read more
? (for instance 800MB per sec) Last weekend i made a copy of file
systems by using dd , the maximum value that i get was 100MB per
second.

The emc system is a shared environment , there exist other companies
who share the cache and channel .

I asked the application service provider to supply us an emc
monitoring utility which allows me to see what happens at emc site. I
want to see the throuhput of emc but i was told that such a monitoring
tools exist on emc but they are not supported on my system (linux
itanium). How can i monitor the mc site?

Kind Regards,
hope
