HELP: Any ideas how to remove ink from printed paper?
Through the magic of websearching, I found a thread on the old forum ('HELP: Any ideas how to remove ink from printed paper?' (http://www.howtofixcomputers.com/bb/ftopic187795.html)) with a question about how to remove ink from printed paper. The question was not completely answered because the poster never gave a reason. I would like to know how to remove ink from magazines. My reason is that I would like to subscribe my classroom to a magazine, but do not believe that they should be exposed to advertisements in schools. Silly putty would take too long. Can someone please suggest an alternative? |

HELP: Any ideas how to remove ink from printed paper?
As much as I can appreciate your sentiment, I know of no reasonable
system for removing offset inks from the paper which wouldn't involve major solvents and it would not be controllable as you need it to be, which would include removal on one side only. Quite honestly, I think the only method to accomplish this would require making color (or black and white, I suppose) photocopies which were made with the ads covered with white paper when you make the copies. Art If you are interested in issues surrounding e-waste, I invite you to enter the discussion at my blog: http://e-trashtalk.spaces.live.com/ Munchkinguy wrote: Through the magic of websearching, I found a thread on the old forum ('HELP: Any ideas how to remove ink from printed paper?' Can someone please suggest an alternative? Scan with OCR software, most have an option to reject images, either all, or selected images. Then either distribute over the school network, or reprint. |
