Default Power Supplies, P4 or AMD Question

I found a case I really want, but the power supply that comes with it
says it is not recommended for Athlon systems. It is a 300W.

Aren't all power supplies the same? Is there a reason I can't use this
one with an AMD Athlon XP system?

(BTW, I really wanted a plain black case, and this is the cheapest I
can find)

Yugo or BMW... they're both cars, right? Are they the same?

Finding the best price for a good item is smart. Finding the absolute
cheapest part possible is not. You get what you pay for.

If compgeeks say it's not recommended for Athlon systems, I'd believe them.

Just pay the little extra $$$ and get a good quality power supply that is
AMD recommended. You'll be happier in the long run.
