Some good information here.

I will dig through some of those website and see if I can narrow down
the gears being offered to something similar to what I need. Looks
promising.

The prices were very reasonable on that stuff too. I've always been
one to part out everything I came across and make do with parts from
my junk box (a serious misnomer). If I could just buy the right part
cheap, that would be a plus.

I believe the HobbyCraft resin is ployureathane, if so
for some applications it beats epoxy hands down.
I use Bison Power Bond it's an adhesive that bonds
firmly and better than eopxy to rigid plastics, It's
thick enough to build up without slump, so is when
it hardens you could refile the teeth in the set resin
which might work.
Power Bond is a Belgium product, I'm in the UK and
it's sold over here, some ships chandlers, as well as
DIY outlets stock it.
There are probably North American/Canadian equivalent
two part small tubes polyureathane adhesives that
are worth considering.
