Hmm m8, dunno if i can do it for sunday, but i will do my best
for a monday, and knock a bit of the price as you have to wait a
few days, then overquote by say an additional 50-100 quid, you
can then on monday (as he is an idiot) still overcharge him, but
knock off the 50-100 quid still make a nice profit and he will be
none the wiser, and infact think he got a real bargain ;D

Dave

If you ever go into business on your own you will post the details
here, won't you.

I already have my own business, though its not computer based, so i
wouldnt post details in here as its not relevant.

I don't know how others feel but I'd regard it as a favour to know its
name, so I can avoid it like the plague.

In article , Dave says...

You can charge a premium for it.

Ah so thats you issue.......... profit

Errr YEAH.

They didn't. THe label Aria put on it was next day.

In that case IME it should have turned up saturday
Looks as if its blame the courier time

Oh dear...Nextr Day refers to NEXT WORKING DAY, i.e Mon-Fri.
Saturday deliveries are a premium delivery. Parcels requiring delivery
on a Saturday are clearly marked as such.

Fourthly how the hell can someone be so desperate for a pc by sunday,

yet
only decide this on a friday? Also considering that i guess the aria

order
would have been much cheaper then pc world, why the hell could he not

wait
1 extra day

Because he's an idiot. He's also an idiot with alot of money. In order
to ensure some of that ends up in my pocket, I have to be able to
satisfy his sur of the moment whims.

I guess you only deal with the doley end of the market. Those with
plenty of money don't give a **** about saving a few quid if it costs
more to have what they want NOW.

You must be **** at it if you don't recognise you can charge a premium
rate for delivering "instant" products/services.

The œ10 situation means **** all. Under consumer law, the customer

make arrangements for collection.

I suspected as much but am having a bitch of a time finding a *gov.uk
URL that states this. Can anyone help me out. I paid 18.50 GPB to
send TFT back to Aria and they re-imbursed me for 8.17 GBP. As they
"advertise" a limit of 10 (Which I though was a bit cheeky) I assumed
they were allowed to do this but something didnt feel quite right!

Especially as "Consumers cannot have their legal rights removed in
sale of goods contracts. It is also illegal to mislead consumers
about their legal rights and to try to exclude them."

So has Aria fubar'ed or is there something I (we) missed!

The 1994 Act is at:

http://www.hmso.gov.uk/acts/acts1994...5_en_1.htm#end

The 1995 amendment is at:

http://www.hmso.gov.uk/acts/acts1995...50028_en_1.htm

They are reasonably readable.

Please excuse my ignorance! But a pointer to the issue in question would
be really helpful. I've tried a google seach restricted to site only,
and I've started reading through the sections (and shall continue to do
so) but if anyone can provide a direct link to the paragraph in question
I shall respond with all kinds of favours ...

It may be worth a post in uk.legal.moderated, there are some quite
switched on people there and also some lawyers.

Well my armchair legal friend, you should know i dont have to provide you
with that information, besides you would only do business with me if you
were infact in business yourself.

If he had that much money to get a what he wanted at that precise minute,
he wouldnt have asked you in the first place and would have just gone
straight to PC World, I guess you are just whining though cos its cost you
money LOL.........tough!
