Default Scanning a problem after Installing XP.

My daughter has Color Page Pro II scanner and we downloaded for her the
latest XP driver and installed it. She is using Windows XP and up to date on
all MS recommended updates.

The taskbar at the bottom does show the scanner with its name, yet in
Control Panel it shows nothing under scanner and under Imaging devices it
shows her All-in-one Printer, Fax, Copier HP T14 series.

Should that be deleted? Because under Printers it also shows the HP
all-in-one Printer, Fax, Copier T14.

Scanner is connected properly to the LPT1 port, set for EPP/ESP.

Printer works through same cable.

Color Page Pro II scanner has a Test Program and it does a preview fine and
also a scan. But only in this program.

When I go with her to a graphics program and want to Acquire, it does not
scan.

The scanner worked always fine under Windows98SE.

Most scanners have drivers separate from the TWAIN (or control) program.
Make sure you've installed both.

Does the software have an option to change it's,"Source"?
I've had to do this on a couple of scanners from within the scanner's
software.

we installed the drivers for XP for this scanner, no results.

Then the driver for Windows 2000 and they let us Preview and Scan within the
Color Page Test SW, but nowhere else.

THAT is the problem.
