Feurio problem
Here's my problem: I updated my version 1.67 to 1.68, and now I can't covers. "Couldn't load Language-Modul:English." (sic) Yes, you can fix it by downgrading to 1.67. Just execute the 1.67 and "update". It's a clean process, you'll lose nothing. I tried doing the installation again (I used the full install package each time (Feurio_168_Install_eng.exe), and telling it to update), but the problem still remains. This was the method I've used in the past for all updates, with never a problem. This worked for everybody. The 1st release of Feurio 1.68 had the bug you mention. We installed the version released some weeks later, and everything works fine now. Maybe you've downloaded the same old release again for some reason. Try to download it from another server, or even try the "Multi-language package". I'd like to avoid completely uninstalling and installing from scratch (and thus lose all of my settings) so any help would be appreciated. When you uninstall Feurio, the wizard will let you choose to uninstall everything, or leave untouched the registry settings (where all your configuration is stored), the databases (the .CDB files in Feurio folder), and most important, the projects (the "projects" folder in Feurio folder). You should be able to uninstall without losing any of your work. Anyway, I recommend you simply install again 1.67, or the correct release of 1.68. Do this without uninstalling anything. It will recognize it like an update, and keep everything correctly. |

By the way, I had searched the entire Feurio site, and couldn't find any mention of this problem -- not int he FAQs, version history, or anywhere else. I didn't see anything in the English web, and I don't know German. The Version History shows nothing because the version hasn't changed. :-) It was not worthy to release a 1.69 version only to fix that. To now find out that it was a known problem, When I had the problem, I read somewhere the same happening to someone that had already sent a message to Jens, so I didn't send another one to him. I waited a couple of weeks and the new 1.68 version fixed the problem for me. not to mention the fact that Jens hasn't responded to four emails over three weeks, and one contact form via the website, well, let's just say that I'm a little peeved. I'll get over it, I'm sure. :-) Yes, it seems a bit difficult to get an answer from Jens these days... I guess that he has the mailbox full of emails and spam, and little time... He doesn't write in this group lately... I only hope that Feurio! 2 is released one day. |
