Constant lockups upon finished burn

Hi!

Using Nero 6 and Win XP
Each time a burn gets to 100% nero completely hangs (can't even kill the
process) and it's impossible to open any more programs or shut down the
computer properly. I ahve to hit the reset switch.
After reboot the disc is fully readable though so the burn finished.
Anyone have a clue to what might be going on and how to fix it? It happends
with different burners and on different ports (both sata and pata) so it
must be system related.
I would be very gratefull if someone could help me solve this!! (Loads of
backup discs to do, so 1 per boot is tiresome).

Is the burner connected to the motherboard IDE controller?

Is the burner connected to the motherboard IDE controller?

Both as single master on a IDE channel of the mobo controlelr and as a
separate SATA device. Same thing happends either way.
