Default dvd X copy

I just bought dvd X copy Platinum and am crossing my fingers that it won't
conflict with any of the software installed on my computer, including my
miscellaney of CD burning software (the have told me to turn off Norton
Anti-virus before opening their program).

I note that they seem to include software for "DVD and CD rescue" which
claims to recover data from discs that are otherwise unusable, for copying
to a fresh disc. Does this work better than EAC? I have one disc that no
CD device I've had would even recognize as being in the computer, but if I
have one that's simply skipping, does this work?

Brendan
