Default OT - Problem with Lite-On 166 DVD-Rom drive...........

I just bought a Lite-On 166 DVD-Rom drive. The drive is in an XP home machine with a 2.5 Celeron
and 384GB of memory. The drive reads all pressed discs fine but won't read any CD-Rs or DVD-Rs or
DVD+Rs. It will either lock up or if I try ripping it will start racking up errors. DMA is enabled
and everything seems fine. The same DVD's play and rip fine in my other box which has a LG 8161B
drive. Any suggestions ????? Thanks.................
