Default Question about DVDr Drives (IO Magic/Lite - on)?

Figured it was close enough to a CDR drive to ask here.

Staples has an IO Magic 8x -/+r starting tomorrow for $89
Wal Mart has a Lite-On for $99 (cant remember the speed).

Any comments about either? What software do they come with?

Also, Office Max has a 4x -r for $59. Is just a -r ok or do I want
the -/+ drive?

Any info is appreciated
